Ø and if paying by cheque then print it out and
Ø send it, together with a cheque made payable to SCBKA or South Chilterns Beekeepers Association, to the membership secretary whose address is on the form.
Electronic Payment
Ø If paying by electronic payment direct into the SCBKA bank account, please ensure you have completed the form electronically with the date the transfer was made and the reference details. (The reference will be your initial followed by a full stop followed by your surname) If these details are not provided on the form it is not possible to reconcile your form with your payment.

Receipts
Email receipts will be sent to everyone from [email protected]. Please can you acknowledge receipt so that we know we have your email address correctly entered into our database. That way full members can be sure of receiving their BDI certificate of insurance and everyone will get our SCBKA circulars. Please can you check that your spam filter doesn't put emails from [email protected] into your junk/spam box as happened to quite a few people last year!
Data Protection Agreement
Your details are held on computer in paper files and by WebCollect for administrative use by the SCBKA, and are used only in the following manner:
· Name, address and email details only will be disclosed to the BBKA via the Federation of Berkshire Beekeepers’ Association and to BDI (Bee Disease Insurance).
· Subscribers to BeeCraft will have their names, addresses and email provided directly to BeeCraft.
· E-mail addresses are used for circulating Federation Newsletters, beekeeping news and information from your committee members.
· Contact details may be disclosed, on request, to the Regional Inspector from the National Bee Unit to aid them in the control of notifiable bee diseases.
BeeCraft Magazine (hard copy)
We are able to offer a 20% discount to all our renewing members provided renewals are received before 31st December.
New members and late renewals will have to apply direct to BeeCraft
Association Equipment
We have a library and three honey extractors and a heated uncapping tray available for the use of members.
Apiary Meetings
All members attend apiary meetings at their own risk.
BeeBase
As an Association affiliated to the BBKA, we very much support the activities of the National Bee Unit and the work of its inspectors particularly when it comes to notifying us of hives in our vicinity which have been infected with the dreaded American and/or European Foul Brood.
We would
therefore encourage all our members who keep bees to register themselves on
line with the BeeBase database.
